Clothing makes all the
difference is good or GREAT portrait. Proper clothing allows
your face to be seen before anything else in the portrait.
Solid colors give a classic & flattering appearance.
Light colors (beige, white, pale yellow, tan, peach etc)
tend to drain your face of color and make you look pale.
Dark colors minimize body sizes.
Stripes, plaids, checks and bold prints will draw the eye
from your face. Earth tones are an excellent choice of
colors and photograph best. Try not to wear both dark
and light colors in the same portrait.
On-Location sessions give you more of a variety in clothing,
colors and style. Dress in clothes that you feel
comfortable in. If you aren't, it will show in your
portraits. Wear clothes that tell who YOU are.
Family & Friends want to see the real you so the best
hairstyle would be the way you normally wear it. If
you need a trim or a cut be sure to get it done about a week
before your session or it will look like... well "a new
haircut" For guys, a fresh shave is a must.
If you have a beard or mustache, make sure its trimmed 2
days before.
Make-up can affect the
way your portrait looks. The camera will minimize the way
you usually wear it, so putting it on a little heavier to
compensate for this is preferred. Wearing light makeup
can give the impression that you might be "sick" and /or
pale.
Don't worry if you
develop a little skin problem, basic retouching will take
care of this and is included in your portraits. We try
to eliminate blemishes and to soften dark areas under the
eyes.
If you wear glasses, you might want to think about taking
the lens out for your session to avoid glare. Tinted
glasses cannot be lightened.
Most important is to relax and enjoy your session.
We'll make it fun and memorable for you...
Congratulations Senior !!!
